Senior Maintenance Electrical Engineer

Location: Wolverhampton

Job Type: Full-time / Permanent
Salary: £40,000 per annum 

The Job

  • To monitor & maintain all electrical equipment to ensure efficient operation.

  • To carry out breakdown repairs.

  • To provide assistance to other shift members, as necessary, when requested by the Shift Team Leader or Site Management.

  • To ensure all essential spares are in stock to cover breakdowns

  • To carry out routine electrical or mechanical maintenance according to planned maintenance schedules.

 

The Person

 

  • You must have served a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship

  • You must have extensive Electrical experience working in a continuous process environment. You must be good at fault finding

  • Be familiar with general factory maintenance practices

  • Be conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives

  • You must be able to work using your own initiative

  • Be able to work on your own or as part of a team

  • Be able to communicate well at all levels.

  • Salary Circa £40000 per annum for average 54 hour a week negotiable

Required education:

  • Diploma/Certificate

Required experience:

  • Maintenance Industrial Electrical Engineer -fault finding.  Must know inverters drives, E-stops and PLC experiences: 5 years

  • We are looking for a good confident person who can organise himself read drawings etc and find solutions.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Wolverhampton

Onboard Corrugated Ltd, manufacturer of cardboard sheets, are looking for an engineer to supplement the mechanical engineering role of the company and work within a team of engineers to provide breakdown cover for the production facility, in addition to the mechanical engineering role, this role will require the operation and maintenance of steam boilers operation, water treatment systems and cooling towers.

Responsibility for:

 

  • General mechanical engineering on site with a best in field approach, including measurement and analysis of equipment using predictive maintenance techniques.

  • Boiler operation and maintenance and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

  • Operation of cooling towers and maintenance and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

  • Operation of water treatment systems and maintenance and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

  • Operation of compressed air systems and maintenance and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

  • Operation and stocking of the mechanical engineering stores.

  • Equipment servicing- valves pumps etc as per the prescribed maintenance plans.

  • To provide front line, out of hours on call cover on a rota basis.

  • To take on any other responsibilities or tasks that are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed

Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Boiler house management preferably BOAS

  • Time served apprenticeship training

  • Electrical awareness training;

  • Two years similar experience.

Trainee / Fully Trained Corrugator Operator

Location: Wolverhampton

Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £9.00 to £10.00 / hour

 

Job Description:

With years of machine setting & operating experience as a starter you need to be fit and healthy and quick on your feet.

Be good with computers and quick learner.

People with hands on skills are ideal.

You will be trained to set and operate various components of a corrugator such as Single facer, Double backer & Control Room.

 

Preferably with several years’ hands on experience in a cardboard manufacturing company.

If someone has experience of box making machines or general machine settings - we can offer full training and bring you to the required standard of excellence.

There is usually plenty of overtime and two 12 hour days shift system in place. Flexibility is essential.

Key Requirements

  • To monitor & maintain all equipment to ensure efficient operation such as boilers, steam traps, pumps, conveyors and plant & machinery

  • To carry out breakdown repairs, as able, to factory equipment.

  • To provide assistance to other shift members, as necessary, when requested by the Shift

  • To carry out repairs work, cover breakdowns and do preventative maintenance as designated by the maintenance Manager

  • To carry out routine electrical or mechanical maintenance according to planned maintenance schedules.

  • To ensure all essential spares are in stock to cover breakdowns.

The Successful Candidate must

  • Have served a recognised City and Guilds Electrical/ Mechanical Apprenticeship

  • Have extensive Mechanical experience working in a continuous process environment

  • Be familiar with general factory maintenance practices

  • Be conversant with steam, boilers, traps, pumps, conveyors, general fitting, welding etc.

  • Be able to work using your own initiative

  • Be able to work on your own or as part of a team

HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Description

Onboard Corrugated Ltd is looking for a reliable and hardworking HGV1 Driver to join our team.

You will need

  • Full UK licence

  • Full, up to date CPC and Digi card

  • Knowledge of driver hours and legislation

  • Knowledge of UK roads

  • Good communication skills

  • Be over the age of 25 years

  • 2 years HGV1 driving experience

The Job Role

  • 48 hour week contract (3 Month probation period)

  • Monday - Friday work with occasional weekend overtime available

  • £11 per hour (Overtime rate of 1.25 anything worked over 48 hours)

  • Weekly pay

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £11.00 /hour
